Results of the Second Annual Show and Shine for Hunger

The final results of the 2nd Annual Show & Shine for Hunger provided $20,255 in cash donations to the Tri-Cities Food Bank. The food bank has been in existence since 1974 and over the years the organization has developed relationships with both local food producers and retail businesses.

These relationships enable the personnel at the food bank to purchase overstocks or abundances at reduced prices. In general, depending on the commodity they are able to stretch a dollars buying power to anywhere from $1.80 to $3.20.

All those that supported this year´s event should be proud that because of your participation, the food bank received an unexpected $36,000-$71,000 worth of goods to distribute to our local less fortune families.
